Homage to Bonnie Hunter

I am a scrappy quilter at heart, and my quilting muse is Bonnie Hunter. Her Quiltville blog is one I faithfully read nearly every day.  She offers many of her patterns for free on her blog, including an annual mystery quilt (mystery quilt patterns are free during the mystery then removed and published in her latest quilting book). Bonnie also has a regular column "Addicted to Scraps" in Quiltmaker Magazine and I have tested various blocks published over the years.

These are the quilts based upon Bonnie Hunter's designs that I have FINISHED.

1. Star Struck

2. Chunky Churn Dash

3. Celtic Solstice

4. Carolina Crossroads

5. Jamestown Landing

6. Allietare

7. Orange Crush

8. Grand Illusion

These are the Bonnie Hunter quilts that are still IN PROGRESS.

9.  Floribunda - need to assemble and quilt. Backing is on hand.
10.  En Provence - need to fill in the remaining units and quilt this baby. Backing is a light purple.

11. Garden Party - lots of blocks to make.
12. Crabapples - medallion for a yet-undesigned quilt; has a checkerboard border around this version.

13. Lady of the Lake

14. Tobacco Road in patriotic colors, tentatively titled "Road to Freedom"

15. Double Delight (finally! after dreaming about doing this one for over five years!)

These are the Bonnie quilts I really, really want to make but have not yet plunged into.
- Smith Mountain Morning
- Tumalo Trails
- Carolina Christmas with a neutral sash between the blocks
- Roll, Roll Cotton Boll
- Scrappy Bargello
- Goose in the Pond in red/white/blue
- Moth in the Window in solid/plaid combos
- Jack's Delight blocks in plaid
- Sugar Bowl blocks in plaid
- Scrappy Mountain Majesty in autumn tones (see blogpost HERE)

  1. Sew many pieces, so little time. Her annual mystery is a must do! (Or at least a must start, lol.)
